The Studio

RŌMIA was built on a single belief — that the most powerful shots in cinema shouldn't require a Hollywood budget. They should require a better machine.

We operate a fleet of industrial robot arms — originally built for factory precision, repurposed for cinematic motion control. Each one is named. Each one has a personality. Each one executes the same programmed move to within a fraction of a millimeter, every take, without question.

From red carpets to convention floors, from commercial sets to personal projects — RŌMIA brings the kind of motion that stops people mid-scroll. Not because of filters. Because of physics.

Every arc, speed ramp, and easing curve is programmed before the robot moves a millimeter on set. Tested, refined, and locked in pre-production.

The robot runs the same move perfectly, every take. You focus on performance and lighting — the motion is already solved.

Questions

A human operator introduces micro-vibrations, inconsistency between takes, and physical limits on speed and arc radius. The robot executes the exact same programmed path to within fractions of a millimeter, every single take — making compositing, speed ramps, and motion-matched cuts genuinely reliable.

Before every event we pre-program moves designed for that specific venue and format. Pre-programming means the robot operates within a known safe envelope at all times, with no setup between guests — so we move efficiently. Each session takes 2–5 minutes and clips are delivered digitally the same day.

For planned productions we program the motion in pre-production — on-the-day setup is purely mechanical, typically 1–2 hours. Complex sequences are pre-tested and imported directly, keeping on-set time minimal.

The arm is camera agnostic — bring your own system or we can discuss options. For live events we operate with our own setup for speed and consistency.
